The author gives us the story behind how Jasper built up his accouterments for becoming the vampire we meet in the Saga. We learn of his last days defending the town of Galveston and the way that he handled his men. And, when it comes time for Maria to enter the picture, don’t expect the watered down version that Jasper fed to Bella. No, this will be Jasper’s own words and the raw emotions that he felt as he was transformed from Army officer into the general of an army of newborns.
This story is well written, painstakingly researched, and in canon. The author has made it a point to retain the character and maintain the canon timeline. Her Jasper jumps off the page and you get a clearer picture of the vampire who the Saga relegates to a thirsty wall-flower. Definitely check out this wonderful fic and leave her some love!
